Apply For A Creative Residency In London With ROLI
|
If you love new creative challenges, this could be an exciting opportunity. ROLI, the London-based technology company behind the Sonic Joy-awarded expressive Seaboard RISE and Seaboard GRAND controllers, has teamed up with Sound and Music (the UK’s leading development agency for new music and a charity) for a residency to explore the creative potential of their instrument.
In their words “This residency with ROLI is an opportunity for an artist to develop inspiring ideas which integrate the Seaboard into new contexts, which might include live performance or sound design, expanding the creative potential of ROLI products but also providing the selected artist with new networks in the commercial music technology sector. Without the pressure of pre-determined performance or creative outcome, the selected composer will have to freedom to explore the instrument and push it to its limits, all the while immersing themselves in the collaborative community of staff and associate artists at ROLI”.
And I agree with Sound and Music’s Creative Project Leader, Hannah Bujic when she says “This is indeed a unique chance for a composer to get to know a new instrument, and to bring new ideas to expanding its creative application”.
Deadline: Thursday 31st March
