Arturia has just announced its latest product, the KeyStep Pro Chroma and a major Keystep firmware update. This new version of the KeyStep Pro, a polyphonic controller that has been a benchmark for creative hardware and software sequencing since its release in 2019 as the bigger sibling of the original Keystep, comes with a fresh design and enhanced features.
KeyStep Pro Chroma: A New Look and Feel
The KeyStep Pro Chroma boasts a sleek dark gray exterior, giving it an edgy, industrial look. This is complemented by vibrant blue LEDs that illuminate your setup, providing a striking contrast to the dark casing. The controller also features new stylish knob caps, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the device.One of the most exciting features of the KeyStep Pro Chroma is the ability for users to customize their track colors. This exclusive feature allows users to choose from a range of colors for their tracks, adding a new level of personalization to their music creation process.
KeyStep Pro Firmware 2.5: Enhancements and New Features
Alongside the release of the KeyStep Pro Chroma, Arturia is also launching a significant new firmware update (2.5) for existing KeyStep Pro users. This update introduces useful new features and long-awaited enhancements, including the ability to send Program Changes per pattern and per MIDI track, a Transpose Latch feature, quick-access track settings, and the ability to determine a fixed velocity for pressed keys and triggered notes.The firmware update will be available to download for free via the MIDI Control Center and on the Arturia website from today.
Pricing and Availability
The KeyStep Pro Chroma will be available to order from November 30th in the US and Asia, and from mid-December in Europe. Customers are advised to contact their preferred dealer for availability information.
Price-wise, the Keystep Pro Chroma follows the price of the regular white model, $/€ 499.
