Welcome to our 2016 Sonic Joy awards for the Best Synths category.
2016 was a great year for the synthesizer industry. Analog is back, Eurorack is stronger than ever, new synth-related events are popping up everywhere…
As consequence, we’ve seen many excellent new instruments and this list could have been much longer than it is. After considerable internal discussion (and a few drinks), however, we decided (as for other categories) to restrict the number of winners to 5.
