Sinevibes Releases Array v4: Spectral Sequencer for Mac, Windows, and Linux

Fab, February 19, 2025February 20, 2025

Sinevibes has just announced the release of Array v4, their latest spectral sequencer plugin now available for Mac, Windows, and Linux (because, why not?). This update brings significant improvements and expanded compatibility across multiple platforms.

Key Features

Spectral Processing: Array v4 employs crossover filters to divide audio into 8 frequency bands, each separated by one octave. This allows for precise rhythmical manipulation of the audio spectrum, with each band independently gated.

Neutral Filtering: New to this version are neutral crossover filters that do not color the sound. For those seeking more dramatic effects, optional resonant bandpass filters are available for each frequency band.

Advanced Sequencing: The plugin includes a step sequencer with 8 different gate patterns, each capable of up to 32 steps. It offers a wide range of timing settings for creating polymetric or polyrhythmic patterns.

Stereo Enhancement: A spread function allows gradual panning of frequency bands across the stereo field.

Sinevibes continues to innovate in the realm of audio processing plugins. Their commitment to unique sound manipulation tools is evident in Array v4, following their recent releases for other platforms. In late 2024, Sinevibes expanded their lineup of effects for the KORG NTS-1 mkII synthesizer and NTS-3 Kaoss Pad, showcasing the company’s versatility in creating effects for both software and hardware platforms.

Here below you will find a couple of videos showing how Array v4 can be helpful in different contexts.

Technical Specifications

  • Clean, neutral 24 dB/octave crossover filters
  • Optional state-variable, resonant band-pass filters with adjustable slope
  • Sequencer with rhythmically correct swing and polymetric/polyrhythmic capabilities
  • Two-pole analog-style lag filters for smooth gate transitions
  • One-pole lag filters on all continuous parameters for smooth, click-free adjustment
  • Supports mono > mono, mono > stereo, and stereo > stereo configurations

Compatibility

Array v4 is available for:

  • Mac: AU/VST3/AAX for macOS 10.13 or newer (64-bit Apple Silicon and Intel)
  • Windows: VST3/AAX for Windows 8.1 or newer (64-bit Intel and AMD)
  • Linux: VST3 for Linux 2020 or newer (64-bit Intel and AMD)

Pricing and Availability

Array v4 is priced at $29. As a gesture to existing customers, Sinevibes is offering this as a free upgrade for all previous owners of any version of Array. We love that!
