Dreamtonics Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro: A Dive into the New Features

Fab, February 20, 2025February 20, 2025

Dreamtonics has unveiled Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro, marking a significant leap in AI-powered vocal synthesis. As a follow-up to the highly regarded version 1.x, this release introduces a host of new tools and refinements aimed at empowering music creators with greater precision and realism.

What’s New in Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro?

This version builds on its predecessor with thoughtful enhancements that address both creative flexibility and technical efficiency. Here’s a breakdown of the key improvements:

1. Enhanced Vocal Realism

The updated AI models now offer unparalleled human-like dynamics, with finer details that bring synthesized vocals closer to natural performances. The Vocal Modes have been reworked to allow separate control over pitch, timbre, and pronunciation, offering more stylistic distinction.

2. Faster Workflow

Rendering speeds are now up to 300% faster, thanks to improved algorithms and multi-threading support. This boost eliminates the need for GPU acceleration, making the software more accessible for offline use.

3. Advanced Editing Tools

  • Phoneme Timing Panel: Provides granular control over phoneme intensity and timing, allowing users to fine-tune plosive onsets and other vocal nuances.
  • Smart Pitch Controls: Intuitive tools for shaping pitch expressions with precision.
  • Mouth Opening Parameter: A unique addition that dynamically alters vowel pronunciation, adding depth and expressiveness to vocal performances.

4. AI Retakes and Expression Enhancements

The new Expression Pad integrates seamlessly into the Notes panel, enabling single-click retakes for phoneme timing adjustments. This feature simplifies the iterative process of refining vocal tracks.

5. Expanded Language Support

Korean has been added as a supported language, alongside English, Japanese, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Cross-lingual synthesis is now more robust, enabling smoother transitions between languages.

Here’s a preview of the new version:

Why Upgrade?

The leap from version 1.x to 2 Pro isn’t just about faster rendering or new features—it’s about giving creators tools that feel intuitive while delivering professional-grade results. The addition of features like the Mouth Opening Parameter and Phoneme Timing Panel reflects Dreamtonics’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in vocal synthesis.

Moreover, all version 2 voices have been retrained to fully utilize these advancements. They not only sound better but also adapt seamlessly to the detailed editing capabilities of this new version.

If you are interested in vocal synthesis and tools such as iZotope VocalSynth 2, you should definitely keep an eye on this.
