AudioFuse 16Rig 2.0 Update For Next-Level Immersive Monitoring

Fab, January 24, 2025January 24, 2025

Arturia has unveiled a free update for the (already brilliant) AudioFuse 16Rig interface, introducing an advanced monitoring environment that goes well beyond stereo. Users can now mix in surround (5.1, 7.1), immersive (7.1.4, 9.1.6), or custom speaker layouts. In addition, the update brings several workflow and quality-of-life improvements designed to streamline any studio setup.

Immersive Freedom and Precision Controls

The updated system allows you to control up to 16 speakers using any combination of line or ADAT outputs. Each speaker can be precisely level-matched and time-aligned (up to 20 ms), with an optional bass management section offering individually settable crossovers. A built-in pink noise generator further streamlines speaker calibration.

More Than Just Surround
Whether you’re working with large-scale immersive formats or a simple 2.1 setup, 16Rig 2.0’s tools offer consistent and easily recallable loudness levels. Mute and solo groups let you audition specific speaker clusters on the fly, while a dedicated REF button instantly jumps to a calibrated listening level. There’s also an A/V lip-sync delay feature, ensuring your production stays locked to the visuals.

Faster Workflows, Added Security
The system now offers a faster shutdown, a convenient auto-restart feature to handle power cuts, and a monitor knob lock to prevent accidental volume changes. For users with modular or other clock-driven devices, new PPQN settings expand synchronization capabilities.

Pricing and Availability

The AudioFuse 16Rig is currently available for €1,150 from retailers like Thomann. For more details on the 2.0 update and its features, visit the official Arturia product page.
