Dawesome, the creative mind behind unique plugins like Kult, Abyss, and Novum, has just released his latest creation – Myth. This instrument harnesses the potential of machine learning, delivering a fresh approach to organic resynthesis and uncharted sonic territories.

Dawesome, The Mastermind Behind Myth

Peter V., the self-taught programmer and passionate musician behind Dawesome, has been pushing the boundaries of audio software since 2011. His fascination with manipulating sounds led him to develop a range of unconventional instruments.

Kult was released in 2022 and we highly recommended it. We didn’t manage to feature it on ANR only because of lack of time back then. With Kult, Peter introduced a synthesizer driven by a clever chaos engine, which might remind you of Newfangled Audio’s Generate. Kult offers users an original approach to crafting evolving soundscapes. Now, with Myth, he takes synthesis to new heights by leveraging the power of machine learning.

Myth: A New Frontier in Organic Resynthesis

At the heart of Myth lies an advanced resynthesis engine that analyzes and reconstructs audio samples, allowing users to create rich, organic textures and soundscapes. The instrument boasts a library of over 700 presets crafted by a team of renowned sound designers. These presets provide a wide range of starting points for creative exploration.

Myth’s intuitive modular architecture enables users to easily combine and route various synthesis and effects modules, facilitating the creation of complex, layered sounds. The trainable resonators are a standout feature. Simply drop a sample into the resonator module, and Myth will learn to reproduce the timbral characteristics of the original sound. As you can imagine, such feature really opens up endless possibilities for sound design.
This is also a great example of how modern technologies can be harnessed to foster creativity, as seen with Synplant 2.

Pricing and Availability

Dawesome Myth is available now for purchase from the Tracktion website and from major retails like PluginBoutique at an introductory price of $125 (regular price $179).
The instrument is compatible with Windows and macOS, and requires a 64-bit VST3, AU, or AAX host.
