I’m always looking for ways to come up with interesting melodies. As a guitarist at heart, I commonly fall back onto minor pentatonics when I write songs, so something to help me “break out of the box” would be helpful!
Chords, melody and harmony are my weaknesses, I’m sure this tool would help me a lot. Thanks!
I’ve been working on bolstering my theory knowledge over the past year. Scaler 2 would catapult the progress I’ve made arranging.
I am not one of those who consider using such plugins to be cheating. For me, the result is most important. Scaler is definitely able to give a better result than my modest attempts to draw triads or pick up something by ear.
The thing that it tickles me is called quite differently (confused).
However, yes it could be a lifesaver for such an ignoramus like me. It’s good that someone cares about such people.
Pelo que vi no tutorial o scaler 2 seria uma ferramenta que praticamente sanaria minhas extremas dificuldade com melodias.
A great songwriting tool.
I am learning to produce hip hop. It is very much based on samples, but I cannot afford to buy the rights to use them. The obvious way out is to create your own loops and here Scaler can help me a lot. I like that you can select chords by genre. In general, I expect that it will allow me to compose a variety of progressions and melodies in different genres. And then I can use these loops for my production.
I just bought a Push 2 and combining that with Scaler would likely blow my creative options wide open. Would also be great for songwriting ideas to port to guitar.
This one is better suited to real use than Cthulhu. It will be my not-so-secret yet powerful weapon.
It would come in handy as I have no formal musical education and I’m a self-taught wannabe producer.
I’d love any help I can get, since my skills in that department aren’t the best…
So this is a music theory swiss army knife. Cool. I’ll make it the brain of my production process.
After reading “Music Theory for Computer Musicians,” I realized that it would take me years to master it all. I don’t complain, I like to study, but I want to achieve some results now. This plugin can not only make it easier but also fundamentally change what kind of music I will get.
Music theory is not my strength albeit I know the basic about scales and chords. I already have Melody Sauce and Captain plugins and wasn’t thinking about getting another similar plugin such as Scaler 2. However what I find unique here is the chord set library of artists and genres. From the feature sets it looks like a potential tool for producer.
A good combination of features. Key and chords detection coupled with the ability to select and edit chords is a great idea.
I also like the Key Lock and MIDI Capture features. And if I understood correctly how the Modulation feature works, I definitely need this plugin. Seriously. I definitely desperately need this plugin.
I am actually just discovering Scaler, what I can say is it’s indeed a “GAME CHANGER” I have worked with other synths that helps create chords but this is something else. I like Scaler because it helps upcoming producers who are not very skillful when comes to instruments to still sound professional when making beats, with scaler all that is needed is just a good ear for music.
Scaler 1.0 made music theory a lot simpler, even for a music student like me who has pretty solid knowledge.
But now, you can go crazy:
You have access over 100+ chord progressions, record and process MIDI, come out with new ideas for totally changing the vibe of a song in ONE well-designed plugin.
Yes, Please! I love the 21st century. It has never been easier to make music.
On the other hand, there has never been so much bad music.
But I’m gonna make really good music. I promise.
It would help to formulate better ideas, and to keep learning music theory while simultaneously applying it.
Suddenly, the store developed an excellent plugin. They added even more features than I could think of. I will be happy to win it.
Hope I’m not too late to enter. I have a trial of Scaler 2 and don’t have enough to buy it at the moment. It’s really helped get me hooked back into songwriting after a long dry spell. I like that it can be just as useful for a beginner and someone with musical knowledge.
