Misfit Toy Synths N’ Drums is all about encapsulating the life, character and authenticity of seven Toy Synths and ten Toy Synth Drum Kits.

8DIO started by gathering a unique collection of 10 different true toy synths and sampled over 2000 waveforms in total.

They custom designed a unique user-interface for this library that allows you to combine different waveforms at the same time and run them through a highly advanced arpeggiator, which allows you to play multiple arps at the same time and virtually arp anything you want.

Misfit Toy Synths N’ Drums also contains 10 unique Toy Synth Drum Kits with all the usual suspects. It was designed so you can stack and load multiple kits on top of each other or side by side. The end-result is a rare gem when it comes to unique drum machine samples.

Misfit Toys N’ Baby is all about encapsulating the life, character and authenticity of six unique toy instruments.

First, 8DIO started by deep-sampled Andreas. Andreas is a very vocal toddler and was gracious enough to offer us his entire universe of sounds.

It is nearly impossible to put words to the adorableness of Andreas and he is surely the most extensively sampled baby till date.

Secondly, all the baby toys that surround Andreas were included. In essence a deep-sampled collection of common Toys and all the unforgettable sounds they make.

Misfit Toy Instruments is all about encapsulating the life, character and authenticity of six unique toy instruments.

The library begins with a warm and soothing sound of a little Accordion – highly recommended in conjunction with our winsome Clarinet. Added to this is a lovable mini-guitar with chunky nylon strings, and the defacto commercial sound of a kids Glockenspiel (Metallophone). The library is wrapped up with a large assortment of six different music boxes and the sultry sound of a shiny plastic saxophone.

Misfit Toy Instruments is an irresponsible sample collection. Childish and baby-like in core, 8DIO wanted to sample the sweet naivety of these instruments in a way that truly represents their unusual character and quirkiness.

Sure, these aren’t the most pristine instruments sampled by the finest musicians in the world… But it is the sound that most kids and babies are surrounded by while they grow up. There is some value in there that cannot be captured any other way.
