If you have an Elektron Analog Four/Analog Key and you have missed this last month…
The gentlemen at Elektron have distilled 32 new free sounds, to show some of the new features introduced in the latest 1.22 update.
As you may remember, one of the most relevant new features is the introduction of Pitch-tracking LFO modes for FM-type sounds (as well as new modulation destinations for linear pitch modulation).
This Mini FM sound pack is, in Elektron’s words, ‘a prime example of the new timbral possibilities. 32 Sounds, all steeped in FM goodness for those unmistakable and edgy harmonics. Harsh, meet beautiful.’.
Check out the following video for an overview of the latest update and visit this page to download the Mini FM sound pack.
If you would like to know more about FM synthesis (without the usual academic BS often associated to this technique), I would recommend The Tao of FM synthesis series. But first, enjoy your new Mini FM sounds!
