Modalics, the innovative music software developer, has just released Plugin Buddy – an exciting new host app and plugin designed to elevate your sound creation experience. Plugin Buddy streamlines your VST3 chaining workflow, empowering musicians and producers to effortlessly chain together MIDI effects, instruments, and processing effects.
Versatile Features in a Free Package
With four quick control slots and a suite of free internal plugins—including MIDI tools, a synth, clipper, and a low-pass filter—Plugin Buddy enhances your creative process with speed and efficiency. The dynamic visualizer provides real-time visual cues for both audio and MIDI data, adding style and immediate feedback to your setup.
Moreover, Plugin Buddy enables you to load VST plugins in AAX and AU hosts, providing excellent flexibility and expanding your creative possibilities. Modalics released Plugin Buddy as a free tool, with the primary goal of enhancing the workflow for those who work with MIDI sequencing plugins and instruments.
Seamless Integration and Universal Compatibility
As a company, Modalics has long championed this streamlined approach through products like Beat Scholar, EON-Arp, and Time Oddity Chorus. While Plugin Buddy integrates seamlessly with these tools, it’s designed to be universally compatible, allowing you to load any VST. You can fully enjoy Plugin Buddy’s capabilities without needing any other Modalics products.
Plugin Buddy levels the playing field across all DAWs, allowing you to use your custom chains seamlessly in any production environment. Its zero-latency performance and live-oriented UI make it a great tool for shows, allowing for real-time creativity and quick chain transitions.
