Universal Audio Sale – What’s In The Bundle
The UAD Electronic Music Bundle includes several high-quality plugins that cater to various music production needs:
Moog Minimoog
The Moog Minimoog is a software emulator that authentically captures the essence of the original Minimoog Model D, a synthesizer introduced in 1970. This plugin is fully endorsed by Moog Music and is known for its faithful capture of iconic Moog oscillators, ladder filters, pitch tracking/stability anomalies, and more. It also includes custom Moog modifications such as switchable note priority, legato, sample and hold, and an extra LFO. The Minimoog UAD Instrument is praised for its ability to blend seamlessly into any mix, just like the original hardware. It is used by a wide range of artists, from Kraftwerk to Dr. Dre, and is considered one of the best Minimoog emulations available.
Just check out the first few seconds in this video – if you have some decent speakers or headphones you will want to get this bundle even just for this synth (even if you do have some other Minimoog emulation)!
Opal Morphing Synthesizer
The Opal Morphing Synthesizer is a flagship synth from Universal Audio that combines analog and wavetable synthesis. It features morphing filters, oscillators, LFOs, and noise, making it a modern soundscape maker with deep analog roots. The Opal Morphing Synth also includes onboard studio-quality UA effects like ambience and vintage spring reverbs, tape delay, modulation, and authentic 1176 audio compression. This synth is designed for fast use across genres, with presets curated for capturing inspiration the moment it strikes. It is praised for its expressiveness, versatility, and the liveliness of its sounds.
Studer A800 Tape Recorder
The Studer A800 Multichannel Tape Recorder is a plugin that emulates the sound of the original hardware without the associated hassles. It captures the beautiful sonics that make tape a beloved recording medium, allowing users to dial in a clean sound or just the right amount of harmonic saturation. The plugin offers tape speed choices (7.5, 15, or 30 IPS), each with distinct frequency shift, head bump, and distortion characteristics. It also lets users choose from four of the most popular magnetic tape formulas. This plugin is fully authenticated by Studer and modeled by UA’s world-renowned team of DSP engineers and magnetic recording expert Jay McKnight.
1176 Classic Limiter Collection
The 1176 Classic Limiter Collection is a set of plugins that provide three distinct 1176 revisions, representing over 40 years of design iterations to the original 1176. The original Universal Audio 1176 was designed by UA founder M.T. “Bill” Putnam and represented a major breakthrough in limiter technology. It was the first compressor featuring solid-state circuitry and ultra-fast 20 microsecond FET gain. The 1176 is known for its character and is considered a “desert island” compressor. The 1176 Classic Limiter Collection is highly recommended for any genre, known for its ability to give character and arrange tracks in mixes.
Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb
The Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb plugin is a meticulous emulation of the original Lexicon 224 hardware, a unit that defined the sound of an era with its lush reverb tails and tactile slider-based controller. Using the exact algorithms and control processor code from the original, the plugin captures all eight legendary reverb programs and the chorus. It also incorporates the original hardware’s input transformers and early AD/DA 12-bit gain stepping converters. Every parameter from the original hardware is present, including the distinctive Bass/Mid “split decay” adjustments and Crossover control, while the Treble Decay rolls off high frequencies. The plugin offers additional features such as Dry/Wet Mix and System Noise defeat/enable, making it a comprehensive tool for achieving the classic Lexicon sound
