Buchla Easel Command Meets Sensel Morph – Performance and Tutorial

2020 hasn’t exactly been a great year so far (understatement of the century, I know), but when it comes to our beloved synthesizers there have been some pretty exciting news and releases. One of them is definitely Buchla’s brilliant Easel Command, a “newly updated 208C in a standalone desktop form with MIDI and CV control.”

Among other cool features, the Buchla Easel Command is available with an optional USB host. That means you can plug in a modern, versatile controller such as the Sensel Morph (with the Buchla Thunder overlay, of course!) and explore the legendary sound of the Music Easel with multi-dimensional control.
Push, pull, and tease an expressive electronic sound from your fingertips.

We will have more on both the Buchla Easel Command and the Sensel Morph, but in the meantime, check what they can do together with these two short performances:

If you would like to know more about the integration between the two, make sure to watch this video tutorial below. Not only it introduces you to the Easel’s connections and patching, but takes you through all the ups, downs and acrosses of playing the Sensel Morph and Buchla Easel Command. It’s perfect for those getting to know the Easel and for those experts who need a little help in getting their Morph up and running.
