Zero-G 6-in-1 Cinematic Solutions Collection Review

A couple of days ago we announced the Zero-G 6-in-1 Cinematic Solutions Collection, the ultimate collection of Zero-G cinematic titles, ideal for producers, film and trailer music composers, now available at a fraction of the price (for a limited time)!

These libraries normally valued at $500 are now offered for just $99. That’s a total saving of $400 (80% off)!
This deal is only available until December 27th.

Are you wondering if this deal is really worth it and what do these libraries offer?
We have the answers you need. One of our collaborators, Kyan, took some time to put them through their paces. Here’s his hands-on review.

After Shock
After Shock was created by Si Begg, a dance music producer with an extensive track record of making cutting edge music for some legendary record labels, he is also a soundtrack composer, DJ and experimentalist.

He deeply understands what producers; composers and sound designers are looking for in a cinematic sample library and he has really delivered the goods with this one.
Over 2.1 GB of big bad and heavy sounds made using up to the minute dance music techniques combined with a cinematic twist, making for a very different sounding library. You get all the atmospheres, ambiances, hits, sweeps, risers and effects, morphs and transforms, drones and tones you desire and lot’s of other very useful bits and pieces.

I really take my hat off to Si Begg, you can tell he thought long and hard about how to make After Shock as special and different as possible and I urge you to check out his back catalogue of music and other sample libraries.

The bargain price of $99 is an absolute steal for what you get and I can see myself using these libraries a lot for my projects

Critical Mass
When I was going through the Critical Mass library, I kept thinking to myself, I’m going to use that sound, this sound, OMG! This will be perfect for this project, subsequently writing this review took about ten times longer then it should have – as I was playing and having too much fun,
you get some amazing SFX and I can’t wait to go really deep and explore the almost endless possibilities this library presents.

3.6 GB (and over 750 instruments) of 24bit Hollywood style sonic goodness, ideal for TV, Cinema and, crucial for dance music producers and the modern composer.
The library includes hundreds« of atmospheres, soundscapes, textures, hits, stingers, pads and FX, 30 production kits.

Critical Mass – Audio Scapes, is a total winner and something I can see myself using for years to come.

Dark Skies
Dark Skies Cinematic Ambiences just sounds amazing, it’s that simple.
If I were you I wouldn’t bother reading this review and would just get out my credit card, go online and buy it!
What you’re still reading? Want to know what you are going to get?
How about, ambiences, soundscapes, drones and FX. Hollywood quality, serious sound design tools, perfect for Film, TV, Commercials, Video games and a wide range of music use.

1000 instruments in EXS24, Kontakt and NN-XT, Acidized Wav files and Apple Loops all recorded in 24bit by one of the world’s leading sound genii.
Over 50 construction kits split into very logical and well organised headings
Ambient Score, Dark Score, Science Core, Textural.
My favourite is Dark score and I will be using these next week on my next film project. You also get a collection of individual samples, great sounding ambient SFX, dark tough sounding digital blasts and granular FX.

But maybe don’t listen to these late at night in a dark room, unless you are feeling very brave. Expect to hear these on lots of dark dance music tracks in the near future.

CyberStorm
Cyberstorm is made by one of my heroes, Frédéric Devanlay, highly rated for his ear for a good SFX and the man behind some of my favourite sounds.
It’s a total gift to be able to have some of his SFX available to use.

For any serious composer, sound designer, music producer, these sounds will
instantly find a home in your productions, it’s like having a cheat code in a computer game, it just makes life a little easier.
2.3 GB of 1300 rock hard, robotic, futuristic, soundscapes, movements, drones, impacts, weapons, voices, whooshes, hits, servos, explosions. Phew!
These sounds work so well in Dubstep, Glitch and Drum’n’ bass music and you really don’t have to do much to get a great sounding track going very quickly, the problem I had, was deciding what sounds to leave out!

Epic Horizons
Epic Horizons is going to be one of my go-to libraries, without a shadow of a doubt!

For sound designers, composers and dance music producers this is an absolute must-have. If you make Drum n Bass or glitch hop this will blow your socks off and give you that cinematic Hollywood feel that’s always in demand.

A massive 5.3gb of soundscapes, ambiances, textures, drones, and FX with something to cover most types of genres.

Even if this wasn’t part of this special deal, I actually can’t understand how Zero-G can sell it so cheap considering it’s made by obviously an extremely talented composer and sound designer and the sheer amount of amazing sounds that you get.
850 instruments, 30 construction kits that you can use any way you like.
All the hard boring work has been done for you, leaving you loads of time to get really busy with the fun creative stuff.

Maximum Force
Maximum Force is a great addition to the Zero-G stable. Created by a world-class soundtrack and FX producer, who deeply understands what composers, producers, sound designers, video editors and the like need to get the job done.

For all you dance music producers out there, this would be a great secret weapon to have at hand for when you need that extra something.
What you get with this library is extremely usable, high impact sounds, amazing fx’s, whooshes, beeps, lasers, loops, soundscapes and great sounding loops. All the sounds will be useful in some way for your productions, that’s a promise!

Conclusion

In conclusion, you would be very hard pressed to find a more comprehensive, high quality, wide-ranging bundle of sounds for such a fair price.
With this 6-in-1 Cinematic Solutions Collection, Zero-G really has proved that they value their customers and understand what creators require to get the job done.
