Win 2 M-AUDIO M-Track 2X2 Vocal Studio Pro Bundles – The All-In-One Solution For Computer Recording Projects
|
We’ve recently had a chance to test the M-AUDIO M-Track 2X2 Vocal Studio Pro (see our review), an all-in-one solution for computer recording projects.
The bundle is aimed at singer-songwriters/bedroom producers and covers all you need (aside from a computer) to get started recording and making music – M-Track 2X2 interface, HDH40 headphones, a Nova Black condenser microphone, XLR cable and the premium C-Series Software Suite (featuring AIR fx and instruments plus Cubase LE).
M-Track 2X2 Vocal Studio Pro also happens to be incredibly affordable (£169/€199/$199 – bargain of the year?) but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to give away 2 of these bundles!

Weirdest thing I did while recording was read Ancient Greek. I was in college and tracking a reverse reverb tracked on a flipped-tape multitrack in Electronic Music Studio, so there wasn’t much to do once I hit record.
Men and women having to record half naked, because our self made recording booth didn’t have ventilation.
I dropped some dumbbell weights on a snare drum to get just the right smack!
I did Tai Chi while waiting for my turn to record some guitar parts
Wrapped a bunch of foam around a mic to record some muffled drum sounds.
Recorded a Stylophone with effects that sounded like a guitar feeding back like Hendrix.
wow, I could really use this.
I really could use this win for my new home recording studio ! Thanks for the chance !
My cat is drawn to harmonica playing – so mush so she climbed up my legs while I recorded a part. Talk about suffering for your art!
I got the perfect take, and then realized that I did not have the power on.
I put so much reverb on my vocals that it sounded drowned. Still didn’t make then sound good 🙂
proper!
The weirdest thing I’ve ever done in the studio was getting it right on the first take.
Awesome giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity and good luck everyone.
My hard drive crashed during recording. So I sweared the hell out of it.
Nice giveaway, I love all this stuff 🙂
I haven’t done much recording except a few smartphone vids lol so there’s not much to tell, but if I do win this I’ll be sure to post some weirdness
In desperate need of an audio interface to save using onboard laptop oversampling crackling sound and latency lag, expect the headphones would be some of the best too. Managed to pick up one synth from AIR some expect their FX to be just as good!
Thx for the chance. Would be a great addition to my meager recording system.
Nothing worth mentioning here, I’m afraid.
Thx for the chance
Nice giveaway
That bundle would be super welcomed 🙂
I needed some sounds of someone drowning so I filled the kitchen sink with water and submerged my head into it making bubbly noises. The look on my girlfriend’s face…. 🙂
Sneezing attack, went with it
When I was a teenager, I would lay down and bury my head in pillows so I could scream into the microphone without the neighbors hearing. Not a very hardcore image.
Forgot to actually press the record button.
Does it help if I plug it in an usb3.1 slot?
Lucius, for this kind of questions I would suggest contacting the M-AUDIO support team, I’m sure they can help.
Recording a dark ambient album, I screamed into a pillow for sampling purposes.
One late night in the studio – on a deadline for a project – my cat decided to jump up and run across the controller keyboard – the resulting midi sounded great so I left it in the cue!
I really could use this win for my new home recording studio with Mixcraft 8
One of the artist demanded to drink human blood before recording. It was suppose to be virgin blood. I didn’t know where to get virgin blood, but at that time my grandparents still held pigs in the yard, so we slaughtered one pig, got blood, and enjoyed the rest of the meat. Of course I said to the singer that it was a virgin blood, and everything worked out. He recorded it in just three takes 🙂
I used a real to real recorder to record my first single. I would manipulate the tape by putting a hand on it to slow it down while recording a take which would slow down the sound. Then I would cut up the tape and use that as samples. I was doing this in the mid to late 90s at a small radio station I worked at.
For an experimental art music piece for university a few of us got some piezo disk contact mics… and microwaved them, angle grinded them, set them on fire, hit them with hammers… Suffice to say the final piece was a little brutal.
Sing through a metal blade fan, it’s where the record company got its name, true story.
I used to wait until 3am to record in my old house because there was so much traffic outside in the daytime
Weirdest thing happened while recording: passing train blew away portable recorder on tripod. It survived with minor scratches, but the results were uh, a little shaken up.
Messing around with pitch- and speed-shifting is my guilty pleasure on digital recording. It can make a harmonica sound like a pipe organ, or a pennywhistle sound like a clarinet.
Screaming to the neighbours they had to be quiet… the recording was messed up anyway…
Followed a cat around for hours trying to get a meow.
I fell asleep. Seriously.
Recorded a song playing tuba – though I had never played one until one minute before. Not the worst thing I recorded…
I got screwed by a drop bit 🙂
Coughed up sand for two days, after Night At The Museum 3 film shoot, before recording vocals for a demo.
My husband recorded music and I did some background vocals for a film project, and didn’t know where the money was going to come from to pay for it. The producer said he would not release the music until he was paid.
My husband thought to call a charitable organization whose annual fundraiser we’d spoken at and where he’d performed some music to mention our need.
They told us a donor had given the exact amount of the recording cost stipulating it was for us if we needed it.
waiting for the results
fingers crossed
well i made a noise by moving the sofa and turning the fan on at the same time it was hard
I’ve definitely forgotten to press record.
I recorded vocals by using my dad’s crappy wireless mic. That gave some funky effect.
