The new version of UVI's drum machine collection

UVI Releases BeatBox Anthology 2 – All-In-One With Classic and Obscure Drum Machines

Talula, June 13, 2017February 11, 2020

Uvi Beatbox 2, the new version with new instruments and improvements
A few days ago, UVI released BeatBox Anthology 2, a comprehensive update to their monolithic hardware drum machine instrument. This baby is packed with 250+ custom kits and over 11,000 samples from 111 machines ranging from rare, vintage and obscure models to classics and modern mainstays.

New features include a 3-layer 12-track architecture, a unified user interface, per-track and master effects, an integrated 64-step sequencer with MIDI drag-and-drop, over 160 included patterns, and more.

BeatBox Anthology 2 delivers a prodigious library of master-quality hardware drum machine sounds, deeply sampled from a broad range of machines then finely sculpted through a Class-A hardware processor chain and integrated into a flexible and creative percussion instrument.

Samples are conveniently organized by both machine and sound type, and can be tweaked, layered and sliced together in a multitude of ways.

Each of the 12 tracks in BeatBox Anthology 2 can be customized with 3 discrete, fully editable layers. Bass drum and snare tracks come with 2 sample layers and a tone layer, while the rest sport 3 sample layers each, providing control over volume, pan, tune, low and high pass filters, distortion, sample start time, and AHD envelopes with switchable decay shapes.

This versatile architecture allows the creation of anything from simple single-sample and layered drum sounds to completely new hybrids, for example, by precisely chaining the attack and decay stages of different samples together.

Each track is also equipped with a compressor, 3-band EQ and multiple delay and reverb sends which then feeds into a master 3-band EQ and bit crusher.

BeatBox Anthology 2 also includes an integrated 64-step sequencer loaded with over 160 patterns. Users can browse through the included rhythms for inspirational starting points or easily craft their own production-ready beats.

The sequencer also includes numerous helpful track-based templates and functions as well as a MIDI drag-and-drop, allowing users to quickly move patterns to their desktop or DAW of choice.

BeatBox Anthology 2 offers native 64-bit standalone operation by way of Falcon or the free UVI Workstation, providing comprehensive support for all modern DAWs and simultaneous authorization on up to 3 computers or iLok keys.

Pricing and Availability:
BeatBox Anthology 2 is available immediately at an introductory price of $99/99€ through June 18th, 2017 (regularly $149/149€). Upgrade pricing of $49/49€ is available for owners of BeatBox Anthology or Vintage Vault through June 18th, 2017.

Additional information on BeatBox Anthology 2 is available at the product page.
