A 12 Voice Volca FM? Now You Can, Courtesy Of Retrokits

Great news from Retrokits! Their brilliant RK-002 cable (mentioned in our Volca FM review) got a new firmware update that allows you to chain your devices (not just Volcas) and double, triple, quadruple,.. their polyphony!!!

Yep, you got it right. Two Volca FM = 6 voices and so on! Only the sky (and your wallet) is the limit.

The new ‘PolyMux’ setting spreads your played notes to multiple MIDI channels. Pretty cool, especially if you love playing those big pad chords! Keep an eye on the Retrokits’ website, the new firmware should be there in the next few hours.

By the way, timing couldn’t be better.
