A few months ago we reported Elektron’s announcement about a permanent price reduction on their silver machines, the venerable Machinedrum, Machinedrum UW and Monomachine.
We also quoted a hint about the future of these machines: “let us remember that the Machinedrum and Monomachine won’t be around forever.”
It was clear that both machines were going to be soon discontinued. Now that time has come. Elektron has just announced that the last batch of these soon-to-be legendary machines has arrived.
They will remain on sale in the Elektron webshop for a week. Then they are gone forever.
Here are a few demos of these classic units that literally shaped the sound of last 15 years of electronic music.
The current prices are:
Machinedrum UW*: 1099 EUR | 999 USD
Machinedrum: 699 EUR | 599 USD
Monomachine: 899 EUR | 799 USD
The last Machinedrum and Monomachine units can be bought from the Elektron website until Jun 21. As we said last time, if these machines have been on your wishlist for years, this is the right time to buy. It’s safe to assume they will be the new eBay vintage classics in the 2020s…
