Overbridge is a free software that bridges the gap between Elektron analog devices (Analog Four, Analog Keys, Analog Rytm) and your DAW through a single USB connection. Needless to say, this tool has a huge potential, allowing users to combine the practicality of their DAW (hello, big screen!) with the sound design capabilities of the Elektron Analog instruments.
As you may already know, the current Overbridge version is only compatible with Ableton Live (a beta was available for other DAWs). These past few months have been quiet, but we knew something was cooking. Today Elektron announced the upcoming release of an update, Overbridge 1.1.0.
What’s new in this Overbridge update:
*Total Recall functionality *Graphical user interface refinements *Improved sync *Bugfixes and more!
Even though it’s not been mentioned in this preliminary announcement (more details will follow soon), Elektron has confirmed AU support will be part of this update. I’m looking at you Logic users… feeling excited?
Oh, actually Elektron had some more good news to share. To celebrate the Overbridge 1.1.0 release, they will discount all Elektron Analog instruments by 10%. The offer is valid until Dec 13.
We’ll have more on Overbridge and Elektron soon, so stay tuned…
