Sonic Joy Awards 2016 – The Best Synths Of The Year

Bastl Kastle

cover

The synth world would certainly be less colorful and way more boring without Bastl. The Czech team keeps putting out quirky yet creative machines and Kastle is a perfect example.

We’re talking of a pocket size modular synthesizer that runs on 3 AA batteries and produces unique modulations and lo-fi sounds.

Kastl is great on its own (it’s an awesome drone and experimental sounds generator) but it also plays nice with other gear and enhances modular systems of any size.

With its ridiculously low price point ($65 or $79, DYI Kit or assembled) it is perfect for anyone – especially for those entering the crazy modular synth world!
