Remix Emika And Win Prizes From ROLI, Ableton, Native Instruments, Adam Audio & More!

Emika is a classically trained producer, singer/songwriter, composer, DJ and sound designer with a quite peculiar and haunting sonic signature.

After releasing the acclaimed DVA and Emika albums via Ninja Tune, Emika launched her own label Emika Records with the Melancholia Euphoria 12”, followed in quick succession by her lauded piano opus Klavirni, her third full studio album DREI and the DREI Remixes EP.

She recently unleashed the Flashbacks EP (featuring soprano Michaela Strumova who is also the star of Emika’s upcoming orchestral symphony premiered at the recent Music Tech Fest 2016 in Berlin).

The remix contest
In collaboration with, Emika invites you to remix the title track “Flashbacks”, which incorporates her velvety voice soaring over pulsating, filtered synth delays, low register piano bass lines, and a stuttering beat co-produced by The Exaltics.

Unfortunately, there’s not much time left (the remix contest ends on June 30th) but the prizes are so cool that it’s worth trying!

Contest prizing includes some of her favorite hardware and software (from ROLI, Native Instruments, Adam Speakers, Ableton) that she used to create Flashbacks and more.

  • Grand Prize Winner – ROLI Seaboard RISE 25 + Adam Professional Audio F7 Monitor + Skype Session w/ Emika
  • Second Place – A copy of Ableton Live 9.5 + Skype Session w/ Emika
  • Third Place – Native Instruments Reaktor + “Flashbacks” EP on Vinyl
  • Fourth Place – Native Instruments Massive + “Flashbacks” EP on Vinyl

Think beyond genres
Emika encourages you to “think beyond genres, and think beyond DJs. This is about your signature sound. Put yourself into the music and connect with the stems in the deepest way possible”.
